Darlington Pre-Race Press Release:  NASCAR is Back - Excited to Dance with the Lady in Black

CHARLOTTE, NC (May 15, 2020) -It has been two long months since since Xfinity teams were turned around from their trek to Atlanta Motor Speedway.

During the COVID -19 enforced break from racing Jesse has been keeping busy finishing up the semester at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, working on sled push sprints (check out the Gram) and running so he will be ready to jump back in the car.  When racing resumes for the Xfinity Series Tuesday it will be Jesse's first time on the track with no practice and with no qualifying.

A biggest highlight of the season for Jesse has been being able to spend time with the Shriner Patient Ambassadors and their families as they spend time at the track and with the team.  "The opportunity to meet the Ambassadors and their families  and share this special experience with them is one of the most rewarding experiences I have had, Jesse said.  "These visits motivate me to continue to learn more about Shriners and their mission."

Phoenix Race Results:   Start: P33 ,  Finish: P21

Jesse's Post Race Quotes for Phoenix 3/7/20:  "The weekend was a struggle to get both speed and handling worked into the car. However, we didn't give up and kept our heads down and digging. We made it better all race long and were able to drive into the top 20 with 10 laps to go. We'll go back to the drawing boards with our short track setup package and also focus our attention to Atlanta this weekend." Jesse

"During the weekend, I was blessed to be able to continue my involvement with the Shriners Hospital for Children.  It was so amazing to have Kaitlyn, her Mom Gina, and brother Justin, out at the track with us on Saturday.  Kaitlyn is a patient ambassador with the Shriners hospital for Children and to see her attend and enjoy her very first race was incredibly special! I look forward to having continuing to help with amazing work the Shriners do in any way that I can."  Jesse

AUTO CLUB RESULTS:   Start: P16  ,  Finish: P28

Jesse's Post Race Quotes for AUTO CLUB SPEEDWAY 3/2/20:  “The race was a frustrating one. We had showed promising speed in practice and qualifying but something went wrong at the very beginning. We made adjustments all day and not a single thing responded according, which is what tells us something is off. The team will go to work and figure out the issue and we’ll turn our focus on Phoenix and get ready to go battle.”

"Prior to the race, I was blessed to be able to visit the Shriners for Children Medical Center. This visit was very special to me. It was amazing to see the joy and happiness that those kids showed when getting to talk with them. Something I will never forgot and something I can’t wait to do again.  The mission and vision of Shriners Hospitals is truly amazing!"  JESSE

JD MOTORSPORTS WITH GARY KELLER TABS JESSE LITTLE TO RACE FULL TIME IN THE NASCAR XFINITY SERIES IN 2020

Gaffney, SC – 11/7/19

JD Motorsports with Gary Keller is proud to announce that Jesse Little will be driving for the team full time in the 2020 NASCAR Xfinity Series season, starting at Daytona International Speedway in February.

Little, a third-generation racer out of Sherrill’s Ford, North Carolina, cut his teeth racing most recently in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series for his family operated team. In 30 truck series starts, Little earned seven Top 10 finishes with a best-career finish of sixth. Though he does not have an NXS start to his credit entering the 2020 season, he has competed in two Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series races.

In addition to his on-track stats, Jesse was also included in the honorable NASCAR Next class of 2014-2015 and 2015-2016, where he was touted as one of the best up-and-coming young drivers in the national series ranks.

His father, Chad Little, had a long, successful career in his own right, earning six career wins in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. He most famously raced for Roush Racing in the late 1990’s and early 2000’s, posting sixteen Top 10 finishes in the Cup Series. Jesse looks to expand on the successful family lineage next season with JDM.

Jesse was quoted prior to the announcement saying "I am beyond excited to have the privilege to race full time in 2020 for JD Motorsports with Gary Keller in the NASCAR Xfinity series. It's something I have honestly dreamed about since I can remember. They are a successful, established, team that I can't wait to begin working with. I hope to represent Johnny, the JDM brand, and especially all their partners, to the highest satisfaction.”

Following Jesse to the Xfinity Series will be longtime partners SkuttleTight, Dkota Investments, Parker Fiber Net, and Visit Kingsport, who have supported him throughout the Truck Series ranks. More sponsors will be announced at a later date.

Though the NASCAR Xfinity Series season is winding down for 2019, our team is focused on making 2020 a successful one. Be sure to keep an eye out for more driver lineup announcements coming shortly. Charlotte Race, 5/17/19
Race will air on FS1 at 8:30 pm ET, Gander Outdoor Truck Series
Jesse Little Racing

Jesse's Pre-Race Quotes:  "I always look forward to Charlotte,” said Little. “It’s an important race for a lot of people. For a lot of my guys, this is their hometown race, so everyone’s morale is up because we feel like can go and put on a show on Friday night.”  “Charlotte’s an extremely fast track and the Trucks put on a great show there,” added Little. “It’s a relatively quick race, so we learned that track position is crucial for this race. We also need to make sure we keep our truck balanced as the track and weather conditions change throughout the day, especially with practice in the morning, qualifying in the afternoon and the race at night. “We had a good truck last year and were in the hunt for a top-10 finish but had some late race obstacles that prevented us from getting there.  Despite those obstacles, we fought as a team, learned a lot and wound up with a decent 16th finish. “Hopefully we can take with what we learned last year and in our races this season and can get a top-10 on Friday night.”

The team also hopes their performance on Friday night will spark the interest of a potential new marketing partner as the team continues to compete without the benefit of a primary partner.  “It takes a lot of people and even a bigger effort to get our No. 97 Ford to the track each week,” explained JJL Motorsports team owner Jason Little. “We continue to fight hard and go to the race track every week and give 100 percent. We’d like to increase our schedule this season but need the sponsorship and investor support to make it happen.  Interested parties that would like to learn more about sponsorship and investor opportunities are encouraged to contact us."

Dover Race, 5/2/19
Race will air on FS1 at 5:00 pm ET, Gander Outdoor Truck Series

Jesse had a fast truck at Dover. After finishing Stage 2 in 7th place, Jesse was running lap times the same as the leader, positioning himself to be up front at the end to battle for the Win. Unfortunately, in last stage, bad luck struck when the right rear tire blew, taking Jesse into the wall and eventually out of the race with a broken track bar. The next race is Charlotte - Jesse is focused and ready for redemption!

As a UNC Charlotte Student, Jesse was especially affected by the tragic event that occurred on campus.  To honor the victims, Jesse ran a special logo on the truck for Dover.   Our prayers go out to all the people impacted and their families.

Jesse Quotes: "Although I am very disappointed with our P23 finish last weekend at Atlanta, I'm really proud of our JJL Motorsports team.  We struggled to get a good driving truck all night. It was a challenging weekend because of the weather and with qualifying getting canceled, we had to fightfrom the back of the field to the front.  We were able to make great gains during the race that put me in contention for for a Top 10 finish, but unfortunately was involved in the big wreck at the end. "Going forward we continue to focus on improving the speed in the Trucks and working with more sponsors and partners to expand the program." For Las Vegas, we learned a lot last fall," added Little. "It was a solid finish for us last year but I think we can take how our truck responded during practice and the race and be in a much better place for this Friday's race. After last weekend, I think everyone is eager to get back to the track and get a chance to redeem ourselves." READ ENTIRE PRESS RELEASE FOR LAS VEGAS RACE AND MORE ABOUT OUR SPONSORS.....>

Atlanta Motor Speedway, 2/23/19

Atlanta Race Preview!
As a team, JJL Motorsports returns to Atlanta hoping to repeat their 2018 performance which saw Little contend for his first career Truck Series win - but settle for an eighth-place finish following a late race restart. For Little, he sees Atlanta as not only an opportunity for redemption, but a chance to impress his sponsors and a new team roster.

Jesse's Quotes: "I'm ready to go," said Little. "It's been a busy offseason - and we have some great sponsors and new faces on the JJL Motorsports team - but I'm eager to get to Atlanta and see what happens. "It's going to be a competitive race, but Atlanta is a track that suits my driving style and I feel like we can go there and contend for the win. "Our Atlanta performance really put us on the map last year and let everyone know right away that we are contenders. This year though we've set goals to run in the Top 5 and win races and I think we'll be able to achieve them."

Skuttle Tight returns as Primary Sponsor: Skuttle Tight, a Willmar, Minn.-based manufacturer that offers two insulted attic access systems that are easy to install return to Little's No. 97 Ford F-150 as a primary partner for the 130-lap event.
"We are excited to once again partner up with JJL Motorsports and Jesse Little for our NASCAR marketing for the 2019 season, offered Skuttle Tights' Chad Kompelien. "Most of the customers that use our products drive trucks and we know JJL and Jesse will be great ambassadors for us."
